Hubspot have released a cool new tool that lets you rank your blog against your competitors. You are probably asking yourself, like I did myself, "How are they measuring this? Well according to the tool, these are the ranking factors:
Inbound Traffic from UK & Ireland: Total number of traffic going to the website in the last 30 days from UK & Ireland
Domain Authority: Moz's best prediction on how a website will perform on search engines
Average social shares: Total number of pages on the blog decided by total number of shares on the blog.
Score: This is your inbound rank: Total traffic from UK and Ireland plus domain authority and the average number of social shares your blogs get.
Fair enough! The ranker is there to let you rank your blog, which may be interesting for some large sites. However for me as a digital marketer, this tool is more interesting because of its informational value. I can have a look at which of these blogs I don't know yet and add them to my RSS feed (or a mobile app that I use, called Bloglovin' - can really recommend it).
